Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1: Amritsar – Shimla
Meet and greet on arrival at Amritsar Airport, followed by a drive to Shimla, the former summer capital of British India. Nestled amidst the snow-capped Shivalik Mountains, Shimla offers some of the most breathtaking views of the mighty Himalayas. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Later, enjoy a leisurely walk on The Mall Road and visit the famous Ridge. The Ridge is well known for its stunning views of the surrounding valleys and the iconic Christ Church, one of the most photographed landmarks in Shimla. Overnight stay at a hotel in Shimla.
Day 2: Shimla – Narkanda (60 km)
After breakfast, proceed towards Narkanda. En route, visit Jakhu Hill and Kufri, both known for their scenic beauty and panoramic views. Continue your journey to Narkanda, a peaceful destination surrounded by dense forests and offering majestic views of Hatu Peak. In the evening, enjoy leisure time at your own pace. Overnight stay at Narkanda.
Day 3: Narkanda – Rampur – Sarahan – Sangla (160 km)
After breakfast, depart for Sangla. En route, visit the historic palace of the former Maharaja of Rampur Bushahr and explore the town. Continue to the beautiful village of Sarahan, located high above the Sutlej River. Sarahan is known for its rich cultural heritage, traditional hill architecture, scenic beauty, orchards, and charming small villages. Visit the Bhimakali Temple, one of the 51 revered Shakti Peeths. After exploring the temple, proceed towards the picturesque Sangla Valley. The valley is famous for its stunning natural scenery, snow-covered mountains, and serene environment. It is also known as Baspa Valley, named after the Baspa River that flows through it. Overnight stay at Sangla.
Day 04: Sangla – Chitkul – Sangla
Explore the surroundings of Sangla, including the ancient Kamru Fort and the temple dedicated to the Nages God. Later, visit Chitkul, the last inhabited village on the old Indo-Tibetan trade route. Enjoy a peaceful walk through lush green orchards and alongside sparkling streams. Return to Sangla and spend the rest of the day at leisure, soaking in the natural beauty of the valley. Overnight stay at Sangla.
Day 05: Sangla – Kalpa (40 km)
After breakfast, drive to Kalpa via Reckong Peo. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Most rooms offer breathtaking views of the Kinner Kailash range and the sacred Jorkanden Peak, believed to be one of the mythical abodes of Lord Shiva. Nearby, you can also witness a unique rock formation resembling a Shivling, which changes color throughout the day and is visible to the naked eye on clear days. Later, visit nearby attractions including Buddhist monasteries, Hu-Bu-Lan-Kar, Narayan Nagini Temple, and Roghi (Suicide Point). In the evening, enjoy free time to explore the local village. Overnight stay at Kalpa.
Day 06: Kalpa – Nako Lake – Tabo – Kaza
After breakfast, proceed towards Nako Lake, located in one of Kinnaur’s most picturesque villages. Nako is known for its serene lake, ancient monasteries, and traditional Himalayan charm. Continue your journey to Tabo, home to one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in Spiti and the entire Tibetan Buddhist world. The monastery complex, founded in 996 AD, is renowned for its ancient murals, scriptures, and spiritual significance. It is also considered one of the oldest continuously functioning monasteries in the region. After exploring Tabo, drive to Kaza. Overnight stay at Kaza.
Day 07: Kaza
After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing around Kaza. Visit Langza, known for its stunning landscapes and fossil-rich mountains, followed by Hikkim Village, famous for having one of the highest post offices in the world. Return to Kaza by afternoon. In the evening, enjoy free time at leisure. Overnight stay at Kaza.
Day 08: Kaza – Chandratal Lake – Manali
After breakfast, depart for Chandratal Lake. En route, visit the ancient Ki Monastery, one of the most well-preserved monasteries in the region, beautifully located on a hilltop. Continue your journey via Chicham Bridge, one of the highest suspension bridges in Asia, and cross Kunzum Pass (15,100 ft), offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain ranges. Arrive at Chandratal Lake, known for its deep blue waters and serene surroundings. The lake has a circumference of approximately 2.5 km and is believed to be the source of the Chandra River. It is also associated with ancient legends connected to the Mahabharata. After enjoying the scenic beauty, proceed towards Manali via the Atal Tunnel. Arrive in Manali by afternoon. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Manali.

Later, visit popular local attractions including Hadimba Devi Temple, Club House, Vashisht Bath, Tibetan Monastery, and Mall Road. Overnight stay at a hotel in Manali.
